The 604 range of wireless video intercoms are a modern high specification wireless video intercom for gate and door access. Typical range can be up to 150 meters or more, if the portable handset can be located near the front of the property, close to a window.

Several features make the product an outstanding success, including the method of transmission. Unlike cheap wireless video intercoms which try to send analogue 2.4GHz video signals, this system sends packets of data, rather like WiFi or an IP camera. You will get crystal clear still images from the gate, about 3 per second, which will allow you to clearly identify the visitor and their behaviour. Combined with 2 way voice, this is a great producer for providing peace of mind. Other major advantages are the antenna which is located on a 2 meter lead rather than internally mounted inside the speech panel. This means the system is not trying to transmit through a thick gate pillar or wall, as the antenna can be mounted to give line of sight to the property, plus be mounted higher up to further improve range. Lastly, the antenna is a directional type, so it does not just send signal in all directions, it focuses the signal strength in the direction that is is needed. The system has a gate or door release button, so the door panel can be wired in such a way as to interface to either automatic gate motors or electric locks.
